Motorsports Career

Business woman and European powerboat champion Sarah Donohue is one of the United Kingdom's leading offshore powerboat racers and the longest standing and most accomplished female in the sport having started her career in 1992 under the wing of late Texan billionaire and multi-world speed record holder Charles Burnett III. 

With over 30 years in the sport and over 200 races under her belt Sarah in 2018 shifted from racing driver to Race Secretary and Race Director preferring to stay on dry land and help the grass-roots of racing stay strong.

Sarah's powerboating career has taken her across the globe and onto many podium placings even after one crash left her dead for four minutes and hooked up to a life-support machine in the Venice hospital. Her passion for the sport still burns to this day.

Sarah is currently head of PR & Media for the world famous Cowes-Torquay-Cowes powerboat event held annually every August Bank Holiday weekend on the Isle of Wight. This hugely famous event which saw it's 60th Birthday just 3 years ago is ran by the British Powerboat Racing Club under the watchful eye of Laura Aitken and Martin Levi. Two of the most famous names in racing history with a family lineage in the sport reaching back to it's very first event commissioned by Sir Max Aitken.
